I specialise in providing singing and harsh vocal lessons which can offer development in both areas strengthening your understanding of how to utilise the voice and how much it is capable of. Over the years I have been very fortunate to have met a lot of very top level heavy vocalists in my time and over the years they have often passed on really useful tips and tricks that I can now share with you to help you not only sound better but protect your voice at the same time. I will use my experience in the industry to make sure you really get the most out of our lessons and push on to be able to gain valuable experience yourself in real world performance situations. I feel I have a truly wide range of singing techniques that allow me to adapt and tailor my lessons to any student from any walk of life, but metal is something I really enjoy to perform and teach. Whether you wish to scream, growl, squeal or simply play around with different vocal production techniques to get to know your voice, I can provide fun, flexible and focused lessons which will enable you to perform rock and metal vocals to the best of your ability.
I am is highly passionate about ensuring that performing distorted vocals is safe and sustainable, and so will take into account the physiological and lifestyle factors of each student to tailor lessons to suit their needs. There are many benefits of learning how to see and these are well documented, both for physical and mental health, and now is the perfect time to work on improving your voice and really learning to enjoy singing! Heavy metal is a genre I am truly passionate about and I am very excited to now be in a position to be able to share the skills I've developed with my students. I have a real passion and love for helping other people to find their voice and make it the best it can be.

This approach works really well, enabling students to take specialised metal vocal tuition with a professional and experienced teacher - something that might not be available to them in their local area. I provide all my lessons online, to students based across the world. If done incorrectly trying harsh vocal style can be really damaging to your voice so my lessons will focus on how to best use and protect your voice for many years to come. I teach all sorts of techniques spanning a wide range of metal genres. My singing lessons are aimed towards those who love metal and want to find out what makes a good metal vocalist. I am is currently in a Scottish System of Down tribute band (‘System o’ a Doon’!).
I am an avid fan of emo, rock and metal music, and has sung in a slew of bands over the years. Taking a holistic approach, I encourage those who wish to perform heavier vocals to first ensure that their basic vocal technique is sound, establishing a solid foundation to work from. I have has worked with rock and metal singers throughout my career as a vocal coach.
